Kilimanjaro is an ice-covered mountain massif, formed by three, now
inactive stratovolcanoes – Kibo (5,895 m), Mawenzi (5,149 m) and Shira (3,962 m). It is located in Tanzania and partly in Kenya. Uhuru, in Kibo’s crater, is the highest peak in Africa. The Maasai name of this mountain is Oldoinyo Oibor – White mountain, Swahili name is Kilima Njaro – Shining mountain. Since 1973, Mount Kilimanjaro has been part of the Kilimanjaro National Park, which was declared a UNESCO monument in 1987.
The Lemosho route on the west is considered the best choice. The success rate of reaching the top is up to 95%.
The number of tourists is significantly smaller here than, for example, on the Marangu route. It also offers enough time to acclimatise, increasing your chances of success.

Millions of wild animals cross the Maru River every year migrating north from the plains of the Serengeti Park; wildebeests, gazelles and zebras, in particular. The migration of animals takes place from July to October. However, the park is suitable for visiting outside the migration period as well.
Mombasa is the second largest city in Kenya, close to the Indian Ocean. It is precisely because of its strategic location that the culture, customs and architecture of Mombasa are influenced by Arab sailors. The Muslim religion predominates here.
